What do I have to do to join LEC?

Just show up for one of our events! We don’t have any sort of membership requirements - all students are welcome to attend any of our events at any time. So if it’s the middle of the semester and you haven’t been to an event yet, don’t feel like it’s too late to start showing up! The best way to stay in touch is by subscribing to our mailing list and follow us on social media. That way, you’ll always know what’s going on in energy at UT and what opportunities there are.

Does LEC provide professional opportunities for students?

Yes-

Through lunch and learns, panel discussions, company visits, and Energy Week events, LEC members have numerous opportunities to meet and interact with industry professionals, enhancing their network and industry knowledge. LEC regularly hosts and promotes networking and recruiting events with hiring opportunities for both undergrads and graduate students!

How often does LEC organize events with industry professionals?

 LEC typically organizes several lunch and learn sessions each semester, featuring professionals from various sectors of the energy industry to discuss current topics and career advice.
